H.C.Wright and Pastor Elder Frazier Godfrey Sr. Bishop Designate Rufus Thomas was ordained by the Lilly of the Valley Apostolic Church in Richmond, VA. under the leadership of Bishop. T. J. Anderson, Pastor Elder Lenny Fryer, Apostle Dr. John Parson Jr. and Apostle Clarice Gillard-Ingram Bishop Rufus Thomas has severed in many offices with the church from the Usher Broad, Choir,Sunday Teacher, Pastor's Aid, Youth Pastor, General Secretary, President of the Elders Broad, National Evangelism Vice President (D.F.A.I.C.O.C), New Jersey Superintendent for (D.F.A.I.C.O.C.) and Overseer of South Jersey District for (D.F.A.I.C.O.C.) and many more. After his move from Virginia to New Jersey he joined Divine Temple C.O.G.I.C after the pasting of the late Pastor Lenny Fryer. In 2015 Bishop Rufus Thomas started the Assembly Of God Apostolic Church Inc. where he is the Sr. Pastor and Visionary in Trenton NJ. In 2019 Bishop Rufus Thomas and Assembly Of God Apostolic Church Inc. joined the Deliverance Fellowship Assemblies International Covenant of Churches under the Leadership of Apostle Dr. John Parson Jr. In 2023 Bishop Rufus Thomas and Assembly Of God Apostolic Church Inc. also joined the God's Fellowship Temple Worldwide Ministries under the Leadership of Apostle Clarice Gillard-Ingram Bishop Rufus Thomas holds a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling & Doctor of Divinity Degree from Christian Bible Institute & Seminary Houston, TX and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Saint Paul’s College, Lawrenceville, VA and is in progress of Master Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, AZ. Bishop Rufus Thomas spiritual and educational preparedness enables him to provide to God’s people an in-depth knowledge and understanding of God’s word.
