Pastor Rufus M. Thomas M.Div, D.Div - Sr. Pastor and Visionary
Pastor Rufus M. Thomas was born and raised in Brodnax, VA where he started his walk for the lord at Union Meherrin RZUA Church under the leadership of Rev. H.C.Wright and Pastor Elder Frazier Godfrey Sr.
Pastor Thomas was ordained by the Lilly of the Valley Apostolic Church in Richmond, VA. under the leadership of Bishop. T. J. Anderson in 1990.
Down thought the year Pastor Thomas has had many great Leaders, Pastors, Teachers and Mentors. The Rev H.C. Wright, Pastor Elder Frazier Godfrey Sr., Bishop Elizabeth. Bagley and Pastor Elder Lenny Fryer.
Pastor Thomas has severed in many offices with the church from the Usher Broad, Choir,Sunday Teacher, Pastor's Aid, Youth Pastor, General Secretary, President of the Elders Broad and many more.
After his move from Virginia to New Jersey he joined Divine Temple C.O.G.I.C after the pasting of the late Pastor Lenny Fryer. The Lord led him to join Brinson Memorial Church Inc. under the leadership of Senior Pastor Bishop Charles B. Brinson. Bishop Brinson appointed Pastor Thomas, the New Assistant Pastor of the Brinson Memorial Church Inc.
In 2015 Pastor Thomas started the Assembly Of God Apostolic Church Inc. were he is the Sr. Pastor and Visionary in Trenton NJ.
Pastor Thomas holds a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling & Doctor of Divinity Degree from Christian Bible Institute & Seminary Houston, TX and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Saint Paul’s College, Lawrenceville, VA and is in progress of Master Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, AZ.
Pastor Thomas spiritual and educational preparedness enables him to provide to God’s people an in-depth knowledge and understanding of God’s word. He effectively communicates with children, young people and adults alike. He is a highly prayerful man of God possessing an outgoing personality. He is gifted with conceptualizing and implementing the word of God into the practicality of real life issues.
